Establishing a new distribution model is the top priority for TONO’s newly elected board of directors. The goal is to adopt general principles for distribution at an extraordinary general meeting already scheduled for autumn 2024.
/ 17/06/2024 / TONO's Board of DirectorsAt TONO’s annual general meeting on 11 June, the board’s proposal for the general principles for the new distribution model was rejected. Consequently, the new board wishes to emphasise to all TONO members, clients, sister societies, and other stakeholders that implementing a distribution model that fully complies with the requirements of the Collective Management Act and CISAC’s business rules is the organisation’s utmost priority for the summer and autumn of 2024.
Work has already commenced within the administration to address the issues raised at the annual general meeting, which led to the proposal not receiving the necessary majority.
The TONO board will convene on Tuesday, 25 June, and will promptly present a plan for the further work, including a specific timeline leading up to the general meeting decision and the extraordinary general meeting in autumn 2024.
