TONO administers performing and mechanical rights in musical works in Norway on behalf of composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers. When entering into a contract with TONO, your economical rights regarding performance and recordings of your works will be managed by our administration. This means that we will collect fees on your behalf from the music users and distribute compensation to you for the works that have been used.
As long as you meet one of the criteria below, we would be more than happy to welcome you as a member of TONO:
You must be the writer or co-writer of an original musical work or an authorized arrangement that has been:
a) performed publicly in concert(where TONO licensing is required), or
b) performed in a TV/Radio setting, or
c) commercially recorded and distributed to the general public(Cd, audio visual productions, etc.)
